Geocache Description:

Nice, easy walk along a paved trail. The ammo box is located about 25 feet from main trail.

This is a kid-friendly cache, so I tried to put it in a location where a smallish child can get to it. Then again, I'm using my five-year-old as a gauge, and he's pretty rugged. There are raspberry bushes in the area, so do watch for thorns.

For the record, this isn't the greatest trail to rollerblade on, due to some slopes and tree roots pushing up the pavement. Don't ask...

I was looking at the Federal Way zoning maps, looking for lesser-known parks, and ran across this section, which is just south and west of where I live. If you click on that link and see the narrow green band that says "West Campus Trail," that's the one!

It's really neat. It goes most of a mile, and it connects with the BPA trail, which is a much larger trail that traverses a good-sized portion of Federal Way.

The cache is located just off of this paved trail. It is on city property, but there is an apartment complex in the adjacent lot, so please cover the cache up well.

I received this ammo box at the local CITO event in April. For various reasons, I didn't manage to plant this cache before now, hence the name.

Congrats to kk7uz for finding this cache first on July 22, 2004!

Some of the various interesting items in the cache include a wheat penny and a 1948 nickel (and lots of toys).
