Weather should be nice for us!

Please bring a sandwich or two (home-made or store bought, we were thinking the submarine size). All sandwiches will be sliced up into "manageable" slices and will be shared with all other attendees. We will provide chips and dips as well as plates and napkins for everyone. Attendees should also bring their own beverage of choice.

We will also provide a fun Geocaching race in which we will place several temporary caches within walking distance of the park and provide their locations to you at the event. The object of the race will be to go and visit each cache. Prizes will be awarded to those who earn the most points (based on visiting the most caches or by finding more difficult caches). There will also be other surprise ways to earn points.

Tentative Schedule:
10:30 - 11:15	Meet and Greet - Feel free to come early, we'll be there
11:15 - 11:45	More Meet and Greet and Some Eats
11:45 - 2:15	Caching Contest - Bring your GPS, loaded with nearby caches
2:30 - 3:00	Raffle and Caching Contest Prizes
3:00 - ?	Post Event Chit Chat

If you think you "might" attend, please post a "Will Attend" log, you can always come back and delete it later if you decide that you can't make it. If you are coming for sure, please post how many adults/kids will be on your team.

We will also have a raffle in which we will give away unactivated coins, pre-fabricated cache containers and other great prizes. The amount and value of prizes will be based on how many teams RSVP. More teams, more prizes!

POST EVENT INFORMATION

First off Christy and I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out and making our event a complete success in our opinion. We WILL offer more events in the future and some of them will include indoor, educational events (stay tuned). We will also offer major outdoor events once the weather becomes nice again for it (I know Tahosa, I know...).

I have disabled all of the caches in the area so that other visitors will not try to find them in their "post-event" state. In other words, I want to get out there and check on them before non-event cachers try to find them. PLEASE continue to file your found logs on the disabled caches. I have set up a bookmark for easy access - just click here.

We want to again thank those who donated items to us for the raffle: Oakcoins, Team Laxson, Avengers, Atwell Family and Grand High Pobah!

If you won an item at the raffle, please email us. We wanted to keep track, but weren't able to. Just send us a short email telling us which item you won.

We had a unactivated travel bug tags go missing, thistags were meant to be raffle prize. If you mistakenly picked this tag up please let us know so that we can come get it from you. The tag was sitting near where the Bug box was, so someone probably just thought that it was an activated, in circulation bug. Thank you!

Please log your bugs/coins in/out of the event as soon as possible.

For those cachers who are not premium members and you are trying to access member only caches... those caches will have their member only requirement turned off later in the week. If you are not a member, I do highly recommend it as there are many very useful features that you can get for around $2/month.
