Bjäsäter är en gammal by. Kvarnen där byggdes 1832. Vreta Klosters hembygdsförening äger och sköter om den numera. Kvarnen är i gång på Kvarndagen i september, och då kan man köpa mjöl därifrån. Om du har tid och lust kan du gå Bjän-leden, dvs runt sjön Bjän, en sträcka på ca 8,5 km. Leden börjar och slutar vid kvarnen. Man passerar gamla torp och torpgrunder, vilka man kan läsa om på den karta som finns att köpa där leden börjar. Cachen är en plastburk med blått lock.
Bjäsäter is an old village. The mill there was built in 1832. Nowadays it is owned and taken care of by the local folklore society in Vreta kloster. The mill is running on “Mill’s Day” in September, and then you can buy flour from there. If you have the time and feel like it, you can walk the Bjän-route, i.e around Lake Bjän, a distance of about 8.5 km. The route starts and finishes at the mill. You pass old cottages and cottage foundations, which you can read about on the map there is to buy where the route starts. The cache is a plastic jar with a blue lid.
