Ala Moana Beach Park/Magic Island are a favorite place of both locals and tourists alike to go to and just chill in the park or on the beach. Plenty to do here, you bet! HOURS: Opens 6 am Closes 10pm.
Overlooking a protected swimming lagoon in the Aina Moana area of Ala Moana Beach Park is where you will find this nifty little cache. You are looking for a small container covered in camo tape that holds a few small trade items, and the logbook. We thought of putting a crisp new $100 bill in there, too, but decided instead to treat ourselves to a well deserved night at a local pub. You'll be happy to know that we had a jolly good time.
Anyway, please note that you will need to bring a pen. Please also note that there are liable to be a few curious muggles in the area while you're on the hunt. Just take a Nerf football and a couple of Frisbees with you and tell them to "go long". That should keep them out of your hair long enough to conduct your investigation undisturbed. Barring that, simply drooling and muttering incoherently to yourself is usually enough to scare most anyone away.
Now, we know that you'll be intent on searching for the buried treasure, but if you will take just a moment to lift up your head and face southeast, you will be rewarded with a classic view of Diamond Head. If you instead see Jack Lord swimming toward you across the lovely blue lagoon like Flipper on steroids, you've been out in the sun too long, my friend.
