Please park in Winton Woods entering gate at N 39 15.343 W 84 32.149 following road to end. The entrance to the trail is at end of road on the right. Gate may be closed but it's not a long walk in. In summer bring your Hamilton County Parks pass. The Sisters of St Clare at the Monastery say you may also park in their parking lot and use the stairs to the path. Enjoy!
Please enter from Winton Woods at above coordinates. This cache is placed on Holy Ground. Ground that has been home for the Franciscan Friars (Order of Friars Minor) for many years and now to the Poor Clare Sisters. The Monastery of St. Clare was built and dedicated in 1998. The Franciscan Friars bought this land as a field (circa 1920) and prayerfully planted many trees. You now see their results. The Friars and now the Sisters and others have walked these trails in prayer for many years. After finding the cache, you are welcome to venture a little further down the trail and see the Canticle of the Sun by St. Francis of Assisi on plaques along the trail and in another direction, the Stations of the Cross. When I asked permission to place the geocache, the Sisters were excited and welcoming. Please be respectful of the Monastery and the Sisters. Thank you.
