I placed this
cache as I hiked to Chalk Mountain to find the cache there,
Room with a View.
I came up by way of Whitehouse Ridge Trail, a very pleasant
hiking trail that has many switchbacks to nicely accomodate the
elevation gain. The trail is in the trees and very shaded.
I placed a couple of caches along the way to try to encourage
hikers who cache to enjoy that very nice trail with its overlooks.
This is one of them, placed at the trail head off of Whitehouse
Road. At this point, Whitehouse Road ceases to be a public
road.
You are looking for a decon container that has a small log and a
pencil, and (to start with) a travel bug of mine. The cache is
right next to the trail, so you do not need to bushwhack.
GPS reception may be a little off due to the trees. If you have
trouble finding the cache, please be sure to read the hint.
