Geocache Description:

The cache is an ammo box at the base of a tree a little ways off the sidewalk.

The park is dedicated to Astronomy and Aerospace and has a "Stonehenge" like Astronomical calendar that predicts the Summer and Winter Solstices (visit link) .
In keeping with the park's Astronomical and Aviation theme, this cache is dedicated to Astronomy, which is like GeoCaching in the Sky. Using a telescope instead of a GPS, Amateur Astronomers have journeyed light-years exploring the vast Universe around this small pebble we call Earth, with the ‘Finds’ just as spectacular and rewarding.
Ancient Astronomers used ‘megaliths’ or ‘great stones’ to mark the position of the rising and setting sun to predict the Summer and Winter Solstices, which indicate the change in the season. They also used them to predict lunar and solar eclipses and the passage of time, just like the calendar we use today.

When visiting this cache, be prepared to trade all things related to Astronomy. Initially this cache contained some Astronomy books, guides, and star charts to help start you on your journey of discovery.
