Most people recognize Bacon Street as the shuttle stop to the 49ers game. But follow Bacon Street to the west end, you will find the beginning of a couple of trails into John McLaren Park.The north portion of the 289 acre park is worth exploring. It is safe, mostly patroled by dog walkers, and relatively well-maintained by four gardeners.
The micro container is hidden in a grove of evergreen trees near a picnic area. You will not be on a trail but will be stepping on pine needles.
