Geocache Description:

Although this cache is placed in an Omani enclave, you can only access it by road from the UAE. No passport or visa is required to cross into Oman here. You will need a 4x4 to get here. It may be possible in a 2x4 but it will be very uncomfortable.

Wadi Madhah winds its way through the Hajar mountains in this tiny Omani enclave on the east coast of the UAE. You will have fun following the graded track that lies here. Watch out for the hill top forts and the caves cut into the rocks as you drive along. There are a number of rock pools and oasis for you to discover here.

Leave the main UAE east coast highway at N 25°16.994' E056°21.670'

Follow the graded track until the parking place at N 25°15.005' E056°14.078'

From here it is a one hundred metre gentle trek uphill. The cache is in a hole in the side of the mountain. We put a few rocks in the hole to hide the cache.

Desert Challenge

This is the Red Key for the Desert Challenge (GC13B15). The eight digit key is written on the cache box and in the log book. There is also a set of key fobs with the number written on it. Feel free to take one but leave the rest for subsequent finders. Please do not publish the key on the web.

We placed this cache with help from Mr J.
