Geocache Description:

A small clear tupperware container with a green lid. Holds a log, pencil, small TBs, and gold Mardi Gras beads for FTF.

North Woodside is located in Silver Spring, Maryland, just north of the downtown business district and less than a mile from Washington D.C. The neighborhood is roughly bordered by Georgia Avenue, Sixteenth Street, and Seminary Road.

North Woodside is primarily a residential neighborhood with the majority of homes being built in the 1920s & 30s. With its mix of bungalows, colonials and Tudor-style houses, North Woodside lives up to the florid prose that described it in a 1920s advertisement for "homes of diversified types -- relieving from all chance of monotony; and appealing to personal taste and individual family requirements in size and style -- Bungalows of original designs and Cottages of Colonial character."

This cache is on a tree lined street in the neighborhood. Street parking is available and many buses stop near the cache site. Stop by Sniders Super Foods (our local independent grocery store) if you need a snack along the way!
