Geocache Description:

Bagging this cache is straightforward however it does involve walking out to the end a promontory. The walk requires mental not physical courage. 2WD may not get as close to the cache site as 4WDs but can get close enough.

The following extract is taken from the log of Scarinian: With The Enchanted Sword of Scalim in my hand I dashed after the Squorboards fleeing down the promontory. Surely I had them trapped now. At the end of the promontory they started to scale down the cliff but they had insufficient lead to get far and then, at the end, to my horror I found myself standing on a painted cross. I immediately recalled the words of the Wise Old Hag of Kingdom. "The Squorboards paint crosses on the ground and know their position accurately. Anyone venturing onto one is likely to come under attack from deadly and accurate hailstorms". I ran back down the promontory for fifteen paces and threw myself to the ground rolling off the ledge to my left. And there beside me was an abandoned fox’s den and in it I hid the Sacred Food Container of Riyadh protecting it from blast by rocks. At that moment I heard the incoming whoosh of the first hailstorm…

Archivist note: The scenery is stunning. Those forgetting their camera will regret it.
