A scenic half-day geocache excursion on Bokor Mtn - on the best road you'll ever drive in Cambodia.
Any “challenge” for this cache will probably be weather-related.
It's most pleasant on a nice day – but could turn quite ugly in the rain.
****************
A motor vehicle is necessary for this geocache. The trip covers about 70-80 km. with an elevation gain/loss of over1000m. Recommended transportation is riding a moto-si. Fill your tank before going.
A car/van can be used but would not be as much fun.
OK, a bicycle could also be used too --- but biking will guarantee a VERY LONG HARD day, albeit with an excellent final downhill ride.
REMEMBER - Bokor Mtn. is notorious for cloud/fog/rain - any day, any time.
A beautiful blue-sky day can deteriorate to fog and drizzle much faster than you think.
Most of the trip is around 900-1000m. on a mountain plateau.
Dress much warmer than you think you'll need + take some rain gear?
It's best to leave as early as possible to ensure completing the cache in good weather.
There will be 8 puzzle points, where data is collected to calculate the decimal minutes for the next point.
It will be advisable to copy/print this page for ease of calculating the coordinates.
