BREAD LOAF ROCK

 Bread Loaf Rock can be seen from the summit 5 miles south of Horseshoe Bend. The shape of the rock looks like a sliced loaf of bread. Several years back, someone painted the inside of the loaf white:
turning it from a natural wonder into Wonder Bread.

I remember traveling this side of Cartwright Canyon many times in a big truck hauling wood. I can only imagine how it might be today if this was the only road up and down to Horseshoe Bend.

This road is not maintained so be careful of travel. When it is dry do not park in the grass because of the high fire danger. Today there is very little traffic on this road.
