Geocache Description:

Caution children about the 12 foot bluff that the bridge swings from.

This is a micro is placed at a swinging bridge that extends over the scenic Mulberry River in the Ozark Mountains (Take your camera), it is privately owned and maintained. The family utilizes the bridge during times that the river is out of control and the low-water bridge is not accessible. The owner has a bench built at the entrance of the bridge, and a contribution box to help defray the cost of maintaining the bridge, please feel free to contribute to the cause.

To visit Swinging on the Mulberry take Clarksville Exit 58 (Hwy 103N off I-40) for 22 miles and turn right on Hwy 215 and travel approx 5 miles. The drive is all paved, and is well worth the effort. You will find yourself in rural Arkansas with views of mountain bluffs and valleys that are fantastic. The Swinging on the Mulberry cache is located on the picturesque Mulberry River between the communities of Oark and Catalpa.

While you are on the mountain there is regular cache called Dances With Wolves about 3 miles west of the Oark on Hwy 215.
The Oark General Store and Café and the Catalpa Café are both great places to eat and are really a treat.

In the fall of 2004, Hwy 215 from Oark to Cass (approx. 25 miles) will be one of the most scenic and beautiful drives in the State of Arkansas. At this time (January 2004) the road is being paved and has already received awards for the work that is being done for its environmental friendly approach.

This is a micro cache in a pill container and is cammoed to be at home in its environment. There is only a log and a pencil in the container to start with.
