Geocache Description:

A very simple, scenic 2 waypoint multi cache. The trail meanders through groves of trees along a babbling brook for about 2 tenths of a mile. .

Begin your quest at the above coordinates which is the trail head. Parking is available across the street on Morning Creek Drive South.

As you arrive at the trail head, you will see a large sign introducing you to the Chicarita Creek Trail.

Count the number of bolts attaching the plexiglass. That number is "Z"

Z-7=A
Z-8=B

These will then be used for the first waypoint which is

N 32 57. 4B2 ... W 117 B5. 779

When you arrive at the next waypoint, you will see a sign describing one of the native plants. Count the letters in the title- THEN SUBTRACT 1 FROM THAT NUMBER. This number of letters (minus 1) is “C”.

The cache can be found at: N 32 57.4CC ... W 117 B5. 72B

The cache is a small, black, tin wired to a tree branch.

If you haven’t already, this may be a good time to kiss your sweetie under the mistletoe!
In case the scenery isn’t enough, here’s some information about mistletoe to entertain you as you are walking.

You probably already know that mistletoe is a parasite plant, but have you ever wondered how mistletoe attaches to the tree it’s growing in? The whitish berries of the mistletoe plant are sticky and are very attractive to birds. The birds feed on and digest the pulp of the berries, excreting the living seeds that stick tightly to any branch on which they land….a new mistletoe begins growing!!!
Does Mistletoe damage its host tree? Yes, it absorbs both water and mineral nutrients from its tree. Healthy trees can tolerate a few mistletoe branch infections, but individual branches may be weakened or sometimes killed. Mistletoe’s scientific name is Phoradendron which means "thief of the tree" in Greek.
