chaosmanor: OK, this has gone beyond silly, and is frustrating to all concerned. Every time we make plans to hike up here, the area is red-flagged, or else it's raining or threatening to do so, and this trail is hard enough when it is dry. So...

We are going to archive this now, and will hike up there, when the weather and our schedules allow it, to retrieve the container, which I suspect is still there, hiding somewhere. We'll post a Note on that effort afterward.

but you'll just have to settle for this one

We hid this on the way up to TOHiker's new Phantom Trail Roundabout (GC11EFB), and it still leaves room for two more caches on the trail - one at/near the TH and another near the top of the "stairway" - if anyone is looking for a nice hiding spot. So think about bringing a cache if you are one of the first to go after this one and TOHiker's new one.

This is a decon container, doing what decon containers should do, unless you're Lyndy

It has a few things rescued from some of our recently-archived caches, as well as a brand-new George Washington $1 coin, a TB and a California Wooden Nickel, plus a logsheet and pen. It's about ten feet off the trail, in an area that was used as a dumping ground for cut branches from the SMMTC work party of 14 March, 2007.

Once you get TOHiker's cache, there are several caches in robb_dogg's "12 Days of Christmas" series past there. The new work has opened up the real trail, which is a lot easier to hike than the old "up and over" truck path
