Geocache Description:

Ammo can hidden in a traditional manner. Please rehide well.

Okay, here's the story.
This cache was hidden on 11/4/2007 and was intended to be a tribute to a local cacher and good friend that was rapidly approaching an important milestone. As is known to happen at times, life, added responsibilities and career opportunities intervened. In a nutshell, the milestone has been postponed indefinitely. When it happens, I have every intention of being a part of it.

That said, I starting the cache with three Geocoins, a Travel Slug, a Pathtag and a Travel Bug. I have been starting to build up a bit of guilt over this because these travelers are not traveling. They have been trapped in an unpublished cache with no chance of being moved. Because of this, I have made the decision to rename and publish the cache.

This cache will take a about an hour, round trip. It is an adventure. It is steep. The trail has a tendency to disappear at times. There are yuccas that will try to poke you. There are burnt sticks that will try to mark you. There are rocks to scramble over and there are great views the whole way.

The trailhead is on a little street named Quiet Hills Ct. Quiet Hills runs south off of Roscoe Blvd, one street west of Valley Circle Blvd. Trailhead coordinates are: N34 13.102 W118 38.889

I may be a bit whacked, but the white round rocks in the area reminded me of a bunch of buried skulls.

A note about all of my caches. I place no special conditions on trackables, (Coins, TBs, Slugs, etc). These items are meant to travel from cache to cache. Too many times, a trackable gets stuck in a cache because the visitor feels that they have nothing equal to trade. This is unfair to the owner of the trackable that has invested the time, money and effort to put the thing out there so that it can travel, and that other Geocachers can enjoy it. If you see a trackable in any of my caches, please feel free to grab it and move it along. If you have nothing to leave in it's place, that's fine.
