This is Denver's 1st webcam cache and Colorado's 2nd.
Denver GEO Webcam Cache
This webcam belongs to Digatron Security and is situated across the Platte River from downtown Denver. The camera allows you to view the downtown area and features presets of Invesco Field @ Mile High and the Six Flags Amusement Park Tower.
The theme for this virtual cache is to include anything "GEO" in the picture you submit to log your visit. For example - bring a flag, map, atlas, or globe such as shown below by Geo Girl. And by all means, don’t forget to include your GPS in the photo!
To do this cache you will need:
• GPS
• Cell phone
• Friend with a phone at a computer connected to the internet
• The desire to have your picture taken with the GEO item of your choice. Be creative!
Go to the coordinates listed above. It is important that you position yourself on the south side of the street in the public area. Please do not compromise the integrity of this webcam cache by trying to get closer for “a better shot.”
Call your friend and have them access the webcam on the internet at (visit link) Scroll down to the box entitled “Click here to view Denver LIVE!” Your friend may want to prepare ahead of time to familiarize themself with the camera’s operations.
Coordinate your position with your friend for the best shot. Don’t forget to include your GEO item and GPS in the picture.
This webcam is fully user-interactive. To begin control of the camera, click the “Start Control” button. Your turn to operate the cam is counted down on the query timer. Once it turns green, use the slider bars, click on the image, or try a preset camera position. It’s simple to use with a little practice. Your friend can snap your picture by pressing the mini camera icon at the bottom left corner of the webcam. This will bring up another screen with the photo. Right click the mouse and “Save Picture.” Presto! Upload the picture with your log entry to get credit for finding this cache. Remember - no photo/GEO item/GPS = no find!
