This cache has a real container. It is NOT a QR code sticker.
The posted coordinates are the result of using waypoint averaging three times. The first two times were for 10 minutes each and the third was for another 15 minutes. The point used to get the coordibnates was at street level aboove the cache. That helps, but there are a lot of things here that are hindering a great set of coordinates. Large bald cypress trees, a parking garage, 2 large hotels, the office of the local electric utility, and a bridge all work together to bounce the signal around. Using Google Earth and other maps, the cache shows to be at N 29 25.364 W 098 29.413. That's about 30 feet from the posted coordinates. My GPSr, a Garmin Oregon 600, was doing good to get down to 30 feet accuracy the first two tries, and got to the mid 20's the third time. So with that in mind, pay attention to the description!
If you're at ground zero, even though there isn't a bench here there is a place to sit. If it is raining you might be protected a bit. You can see the Old Mill Crossing mosaic across the river. You might see a wedding or some future couple getting pictures taken on the island. There may be a party going on across the river. Boat loads of muggles will come by.
Stay out of the landscapping. The cache is NOT in it anywhere. That pretty much limits the choices. If you don't find it right away, sit down and think a bit, kind of like The Thinker, and the location will come to you like you're a piece of metal and it's magnetized.
If you can't find it, log a DNF. Do NOT replace it. I walk by the location every day to and from work so checking on it is not going to be a problem.
UPDATE 1-7-19: This cache has disappeared enough times that I think I should add this. With your back to the river, please put the cache back as far to the left as it will go and around 6" back.
