mainiac1957: So today I made the ride up and then the walk up with my friend Paul. We looked and no cache. I placed this to satisfy the need for one for completing the DeLorme Challenge. There are lots in the grid now. This one would be DNFd and found back and forth for 11 years. Time to give it a proper retirement.

Geocache Description:

Since there was no cache in this Delorme map section I thought I'd give it one.

The parking is in a nice turnout below the cache location. It offers a great view of Natanis Pond which is near the northwestern part of Chain of Ponds in Franklin county. From here you are less than 10 miles from the Quebec border. You will have to do a short, but somewhat steep climb to where the cache is hidden. It is an 8 by 8 lock and lock container painted camo. This part of the state I consider to be one of my favorite places on earth.
