The race is now available to every one as a Multicache called "GeoTeering"... well it's right now in the "q" for approval [;)].
So every one that did the race can go and register it as a find and add it to their multies [8D] all the others, we'll see you soon bushwacking through Simonskloof [}:)] be it just for fun or as an group challenge.

So, here it is: THE GEO-TEERING RACE EVENT!!! We've created the ultimate Geocaching/Orienteering fusion and placed it into this beautiful valley, see www.simonskloof.com for more visuals.
Now, this is how it works: 10 posts with orienteering punches have been hidden on this 2000ha farm (naa, don't worry we'll not chase you to the most remote corner... and the again... maybe...) the aim is to collect as many as you can of the posts and to initiate this special multicache (later available to all geocachers out there) we've made it into a race event.
The race will start on Saturday at 11:00 for those of you who come from far... More details will follow closer to the event.
In the evening we'll have a braai under South Africas oldest oak tree and some mountain nut told me that there will even be a midnight cache to hunt for so make sure those batteries are charged.
Accommodation:
Camping: Free (with "hot" shower and toilets)
Guest House: (R100pppn self catering) only 2 rooms left! Selfcatered cottage: Rate see website. Ideal if you arrive on Friday evening
What to bring:
All you need for a weekend out in the bush/mountains: Sleeping bags, tent, food and drink...
NO 4x4 or Bakkie needed... just drive slowly, please.
Help needed:
Prices for the race, If anybody has contacts to the big guys with the nice goodies let me know.
Simonskloof will definitely throw in a weekend for two!!!
You are welcome to arrive on Friday evening!!!
PLUS there are at present 4 caches in within 10km of the old oak tree and many more down in Montagu!!!
