This cache is part way up the Topanga Ridge Trail, 0.4 miles from the bottom.
The Topanga Ridge Trail is a beautiful but rocky and often steep ridgeline trail that climbs through the amazing sandstone formations just east of Stunt Road in Calabasas. Although not very long, only strong hikers should attempt this trail!

To get to the trail, park on Stunt Road in Calabasas where Calabasas Peak Motorway meets it (N34° 5.712', W118° 38.957'). Hike up Calabasas Peak Motorway 0.6 miles to Red Rock Road. The trail heads uphill to the south-east from here. Or you can park at Red Rock Park (fee area) at the end of the pavement on Red Rock Road, roughly N34° 6.311', W118° 38.243', and hike the 1.1 miles to Calabasas Peak Mtwy. Or, from the top, park at the overlook at the intersection of Stunt Road and Saddle Peak Road, N34° 4.88', W118° 38.711', then hike north-east on the Topanga Ridge Motorway.

Waypoints for these parking spots are listed in "Bite the Bullet" (GC1M0JA) (visit link)

You are looking for an evil small micro container.

2009-05-03 Update: Container has been replaced with a small camo'd plastic food container. Bring a pen to sign the log.

We almost walked right past this as we were so involved with trying to follow the dicey trail and planting each step. I had already thrown my trekking pole down blow to free my hands to scramble down a steep surface, when Karen shouted, " I see a Geocache!" I'm glad she spotted it, as neither of us were watching our GPS units near here. It was a bit obvious and out in the open with nothing hiding it, so we hid it in the same place under indigenous material. The name helps explain the location. Thanks!

Right where you'd think. Great hike, challenging but not too.
