Geocache Description:

The cache is somewhere within 5 miles of the posted coordinates.

If a cache is removed from the forest, and another container is left in its place, is the cache really gone?  If a cache container is recycled from one valid GC ID to another, has the cache actually moved?  You can ponder these deep philosophical questions the next time you have insomnia and are pacing the floors at 3 am. Meanwhile, here is a new (but possibly very familiar) cache for you to find.

Introduction:

What's in a name?  Apparently everything.

This was originally intended to be the 8th Chapter of the Traveling Cache (TC) series.  But that series has been stopped dead in its tracks, so instead this is the 8th Chapter of the Not Traveling Cache series.

If you’d like to read about the TC series, which this cache is Not a chapter of, follow this link.

The coordinates of Not-TC8 may be determined in two ways:

1) Solve the puzzle below, or
2) Visit the Not-TC7 final location to obtain the coordinates for Not-TC8, as the container at the final stage of Chapter Seven will eventually (after a few Not-TC8 finds) contain the exact coordinates for Not Chapter Eight. (Update 6/1/2008: Since there have been enough finders of this cache, the coordinates for Not-TC8 are now in the Not-TC7 final.)

The Not Chapter Eight Puzzle:

This Chapter continues the TC tradition of using some noteworthy local caches to derive the coordinates for this cache. However, we have omitted the distance calculations that have been a part of most of the other Chapters. Instead, we will use different aspects of the reference caches to generate the coordinates.

This Chapter also includes one of the concepts used in Not-TC7: none of the reference caches in this puzzle will be explicitly named. Instead, a clue to each cache name is given in blue text. Once you have determined the cache names, all of the information you need should be available somewhere on those cache pages.

All reference caches are in Massachusetts. None have been used as reference caches in any of the previous TC or Not-TC chapters. It is not necessary for you to have found any of the reference caches in order to be able to solve this puzzle. All of the reference caches are at least two years old, and all are within 25 miles of the posted coordinates for this cache. At the time that this cache was published, none of the reference caches have been archived. (Update: since publication of this cache, one of the reference caches has been archived.)

Airport, Bell, Dead Horse, Grafton, Green, Packachoag, Vernon.
Or maybe Airport, Bancroft, Belmont, Grafton, Green, Pakachoag, Vernon.
Or is it Bancroft, Chandler, Green, Hancock, Newton, Pakachoag, Sagatabscot?
Whichever it is, the cache is a terrfic tour of a city in MA.

The names of two cool central MA caches both fit this clue, one multi and one traditional.

Part of the secret password of the sheep in the movie Babe: what they say; male; female
Another great location, worth spending several hours at.
