XMAS-07 Lerum Fire !

Detta är geocache nr 7 i en serie av 24, en slags Geocaching-Julkalender inför julen 2005. De övriga 23 finns utplacerade på olika platser över hela vårt avlånga land. This is geocache no 7 in a series of 24, a kind of Geocaching-Christmas Calender for the Christmas of 2005. The other 23 are placed in various locations all over Sweden.

ENG : The area used to be a former playground of mine during summer vacation where life was put at stake on occasion. A lot has changed since but all is not gone-yet. The cache is a rebirth of the cache “Lost Civilization” initially placed by Pole Cat which got lost and replaced, before it was found and logged the first time. The original box was found later by us accidentally. This place might perhaps also suit the earlier cache name why it was reborn here. The old box last for almost 18 years so now it is time for a new one.

Also take the opportunity, while here, to look at the "construction" at N57 47.101 E12 16.240, there is a path leading there ! The picture "Devastation 3" is taken here and shows the rest of an electrified animal.

The cache is a oval small ice cream box approx 0,5 liter according to the description above also containing the log book. Please be very careful when approaching the cache !! and close it well after logging !

The area is part of a planned extension called Norra Hallsås and will host a lot of new small houses within soon why the place for the first initial multi will be gone. Update 2024 : New houses and a new road are now very close and question remains if the ruins of the shooting range will remain.

SWE : Dessa är min barndoms somrars lekmarker där man ibland riskerade livet. Mycket har ändrats sedan dess men allt har inte gått förlorat - ännu. Cachen är en återfödelse av cachen ”Lost Civilization” som ursprungligen lades ut av Pole Cat men som gick förlorad och ersattes innan någon hann hitta och logga den först. Den ursprungliga lådan hittades något senare av oss av en ren tillfällighet. Denna plats kunde kanske också ha haft detta cache namn varav dess återfödelse. Efter nästan 18 år är det dags att byta ut behållaren till en ny fast likadan !

Ta tillfället i akt och titta på "konstruktionen" vid N57 47.101 E12 16.240, det finns en stig dit. Bilden "Devastation 3" är tagen här och är resterna av ett elektrifierat djur.


Cachen är en cirka 0,5 l oval glassbox enligt beskrivningen ovan. I denna lådan finns loggboken. Var försiktig när du närmar dig cachen !! och förslut den väl igen efter att du loggat !

Området ingår i den nya detaljplanen för Norra Hallsås och kommer att få göra plats för många nya småhus i en snar framtid. Uppdatering 2024 : Nu har nya hus och en ny väg nästan kommit alldeles intill och frågan är hur länge resterna av skjutbanan kommer att finnas kvar ?
