Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

To get to the cache make your way to Project Faultless. Cache is a short walk away from ground zero...hidden underneath some desert scrub and some rocks.
When I placed the cache I did not realize that Project Faultless was a virtual. Now you have 2 reasons to visit this piece of history and view the awesome landscape!

Cache was named after the ground smiley in the area (see picture). Either that or it is a little poke at our government ....you be the judge.

Cache contents include lots of goodies to put a smile on your face.

Please cover the cache back up the same or better than you found it as the cache container will stick out like a sore thumb otherwise.

Enjoy!

Awsome location. This brings back the terrors I suffered in grade school. Duck and cover drills were a regular practice when I was in 4th-7th grade.

Traveling from Ely to Tonopah and made the side trip in to see what is left of Project Faultless. Found the cache, SL and walked about the area a bit. We've been happy all week... traveling and spending time doing our favorite hobby. Thanks!

Bucky & I found this one while cruising south on the fifth day of our trip down to Las Vegas from Northeast Oregon. We stayed last night in the parking lot of Lunar Crater, and would visit several volcanic features, Project Faultless, and the oldest cache in Nevada before getting to Las Vegas by the end of the day.

Grabbed this one after walking to Ground Zero and seeing the smiley face. The fault scarp here is amazing! 1 megaton of TNT is 2 billion pounds of TNT! No wonder a huge area collapsed and a scarp was created!

Thanks for the great cache!!
