located in The dwarf pine forrest, West Hampton
I think this is one of the most unique lndsacapes on long island,the cache is in the middle of the burn area of 95.you can really get a feel of how much property was burned .The trails are sandy with lots of atv tracks .That is why I gave it a three for terrain.Park on stewart ave and its a 3/4 mile hike to the spot.There is closer parking on old river head rd but I dont think its safe.There is no need to bushwack.Cache is right off trail under some logs and brush,which is not really a hint as that is all there is out here.I think if you come here at night with a full moon it would be spectacular!
