Geocache Description:

This cache is a glass jar under about 8 feet of water.

A waterproof GPS and a boat are highly recommended for this endeavour. This version is paddle-craft friendly. You can put your boat in at N44* 03.894 W70* 48.129, and it's a short paddle to the cache site, which is a fairly obvious underwater object. You will not need scuba equipment for this, but you will need to be able to hold your breath for about 30 sec. and have a good mask. Flippers are a good idea but not needed.

A few hints to help you save your breath underwater:
1. Before diving down, take 10 very deep breaths. This will infuse your muscles with extra oxygen, enabling you to go longer underwater.
2. Use a scuba mask, and breathe out thru your nose when the pressure builds up.
3. Swallow to clear the pressure in your ears.
4. Get back to the surface BEFORE you start feeling short of breath.
