This place i found quite by accident about 7 years ago . I was looking for a place to take beginners to abseil and rock climb in the area .

As is turns out this particular spot has marked climbs with bolts already in the walls.Till this day have know idea who put them there or what they are called .

Now to the fun part.... There are a couple of ways to get to the cache. The most direct way requires either rock scrambling skill. or if you have the equipment a short abseil.its about 15 metres high. ( and yes the cache is at the bottom of the cliff )

If this is not your cup of tea ,you can enter via Lapstone place ,there is a track on the left at the end of the street which will give access to the gully on your right.
It will be about 400mm walk, which will take you to the bottom of the cliff line.
Do not try the abseil unless you have the proper training or equipment.Do be careful with the rock scramble.

when accessing this cache the direct way.walk through reserve until you see a small gate. there is a narrow gully which steps down to the left only 20 metres away.this is the rock scramble spot.

The numbers 4 - 8 - 6 will come in handy. and they are in no particular order.

Well I finally returned to this cache and this time I brought a rope extension for the climb down.
Did some systematic searching and there it was, and it does help to be tall.
Took a pair of sunnies and left some pens. Thanks for the chance to finally nail this sucker!

Know this spot quite well - the arae was in my 'big backyard' of the Blue Mountains when I was younger.
While in area went with intentions of doing this as a quick grab this morning (no ropes on hand though for this flying visit to the region) before going to the NRL GF.The rain had made the gully quite treacherous and, as I was on own, decided to leave it for another day (but I reckon know which hole it is in!).
This was an abseiling spot for me and introducing others to the sport in the early 1980's. The bolting activity was the result of some younger ones I knew who were practising bolting skills for bigger things in their lives - one of whom has gone on to climbing around the world, indoor climbing championships etc. - hence the existence of the bolts. Others may have added to the bolt collection since then.
The gate (for want of a better word) is locked but it is public space past the gate. I think it is in place to make the reserve safer for smaller kids in the area - there used to be swings in tha park before the Council removed them on 'safety grounds' (more like cost cutting).
Take care when doing this one everyone.
