Geocache Description:

This is the English Literature examination from the MK Schooldays series of caches by MKGees.

The series is based very loosely around GCSE examinations.

The puzzle icon is shown at one of Milton Keynes' educational establishments, in this case Walton High School in Walnut Tree.

However, the cache is not at this location. Please do not attempt to park or search there. It is private land.

As with all of this series, we are available for mentoring and support by email on request.

GCSEs were introduced into secondary schools in England in 1986 to replace the previous GCE "O" Levels and CSEs. They are available in a bewildering array of different subjects in a number of distinct categories. English Literature sits in the English category.

Passing this examination will reveal Bonus Code B for MK Schooldays: Graduation Day.

English Literature Examination: Time Limit 95 Minutes Ending at 19:36

This is a book cipher, or more correctly it is a poem cipher. It will be easy to solve if you can identify the poem. You might be able to solve it without the poem if you are good at substitution ciphers. If you can't do either of those then your best bet is to sweep the area within 1km of the given coordinates and guess where I might have put it.

To confirm you have the correct one, it has 288 words - count the bits with hyphens as a single word, not as several. Each bullet below makes one word. Each group makes one sentence.

We suffered from "helicopter compass syndrome" when placing this one so please confirm coordinates are OK. GZ is very obvious - from the big log, move about 10 yards back towards the school.

The final cache is a 450ml circular screw-top covered in camo duck tape. It contains a small log book and pencil/pen. Please, as ever, take care to replace the cache as you found it.

As you will most likely solve this at home before venturing out, the final cache is placed where the calculated coordinates appear to be on GoogleMaps. This may be a few feet from where your GPS thinks it is.

We hope you enjoy your studies and that you get the grades you need.
