The coordinates will take you to the parking lot at Billy Wilson Park (formerly Margaret Louise Park) on Hopkins Road in the Town of Amherst, NY. I'll bring coffee and donut holes (please log a "Will Attend" to help me with that), and anyone so inclined can literally leap to celebrate the day. Afterward, feel free to enjoy a walk on the trail through Great Baehre Swamp Wildlife Management Area, or find some of the caches in the park and on the trail. Unfortunately, it'll be too cold to see any frogs a-leaping in the swamp this time of year (all the more reason to visit again this Spring!).
This is my first time hosting an event. I requested Leap Day as a "floating holiday" at work so I could participate in some geocaching fun, and then I decided why not hold a morning event for anyone who might prefer to earn their souvenir in the daylight hours. Hope to see you there!
Note: I've listed this as wheelchair and stroller friendly as the parking lot is paved and level, but if we have significant snowfall, use your best judgment on what your wheels can manage. That goes for the trail, too.
