This is a "City" in my GPS, and on my maps, but there's nothing here, interesting how things can just go away with time.

Another in the power trail I found. It is interesting how it gets cooler the closer you get to the lake. Of course i know why that it, but its something I noticed as I was out caching today.

Thanks for the cache, if not the city.

Fun day caching with SanJoseBeanNazi, Art Vandalay, and Baldin' Eagle. We were on a trek to find as many caches on the road between Elberta and Saratoga Springs as we could. The snow on the ground made us wonder but then the day turned wonderful, til the blizzard came about an hour or so too soon. But we persevered, and found everything close to the road.

I have finally completed the Power Trail on Redwood Rd, no thanks to the cache thieves. In my first trip, I expressed my thoughts about what was happening here in only one log. Now I would like to provide food for thought to any who are involved in the current bad behavior or who may consider it in the future.

I use the plural, thieves, because given the way the caches disappeared there is likely more than one thief. Of course it is possible that only one person took them in that pattern to cast suspicion on others. The biggest question in my mind is why. One obvious answer is to somehow do damage to the cache owners. Yet, more damage is done to those of us who are trying to get the caches than to the owners. Even though AD0OR and SugarNSpice are the primary owners, caches byGR8GPN and JeepingGurl have also been affected. Cache theft affects a broader range of people than may be initially considered and it shows poor sportsmanship. The act of cache theft is further complicated by those who claim finds on missing caches, another act of poor sportsmanship. (Such people like cheat at solitaire too!) To Peasinapod’s admonishment to the cache thieves to get a life I add, GROW UP! To SugarNSpice, AD0OR, GR8GPN, JeepingGurl, Peasinapod, and all the other cachers who have contributed A LOT of work to keeping this Power Trail alive, I offer a heartfelt THANKS FOR THE FUN!

I am amazed at all these little areas that have names. TFTC and bringing us out here.

I set out on this major power trail with a couple of goals. I wanted to complete it one day and to help all the cachers who set the trail with some maintenance. I was working in coordination with JCAZ who had been on the trail a couple of times recently and provided me with the list of missing caches. I left Phoenix armed with 100 replacement containers and logs. Never did I imagine that I would use all of them to replace what a mean and vindictive cache thief has done. I used ALL of the containers and still ran short. I wish I had another 50 with me. I searched for each and every cache before hiding a replacement. I found some but ended up replacing most. It was obvious that major vandalism was in play here. What a shame that someone has to be so rotten. For the cache owners that set out the hides I offer an apology if I offended you by replacing your container without pre-permission. To the cache thief...go find another hobby. Get a life.
