A christmas BBQ for the whole family. This event is a bit different from your normal event cache, at the same time as we hold this, other cachers will be doing the exact same thing in nearly every other state in Australia! The date of the event is the 3rd December.
Come and celebrate christmas with your fellow geocachers. There are free BBQs, shelters, toilets, kids play equipment, a creek for the kids to play, wildlife to see and there might even be a geocache in the area (maybe people might even want to place some more in the area before the event).
We encourage you to come from 11am, however we will be there much earlier to make sure we get the best spot, so turn up earlier if you can. Bring your own everything, (tables are chairs are available, but if you've room throw some chairs in just in case).
We'll organise some basic events for the day, but given that its summer there won't be anything too strenuous (like making you climb a mountain and back in less than 20 minutes like in the Winter picnic).
Please post a note to say how many will be attending, how many adults and how many kids. remember, kids are more than welcome, it's a family event!
How to get there...
It's at the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre at the Raven Street Reserve, entrance off of Rode Rd, McDowall.
