Hemlock Cove Cache Traditional Cache
MAG315: Went to check on this one today and the trail is definitely in bad shape. Also, the cache appears to be missing so I'm going to send this one to the history books. Thanks to all that hunted this one, it was fun reading the logs.

For this cache, you will need to park at the picnic ground parking lot located at N-35.38.084 W-082.13.219. NOTE: If you park at the church, you're at the wrong location and will have to bushwhack to the cache. During off season, you can park outside the gate and walk in. The distance from the parking area to the cache is approximately 1/3 mile. Container is a 50 Cal. ammo box.
The vast Hemlock Forests of North Carolina are now threatened by an insect known as the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid. Unless the spread of this pest is stopped, these magnificent trees will only be a memory in the very near future. As you search for the cache, take some time to look around you and marvel at the beauty of these majestic giants of the forest. At the end of the grassy picnic area, you can either take the high road up the steps to your left or go straight ahead. Both ways will lead you to the cache. Please try to cover your tracks after finding the cache so the location won't be too obvious. Enjoy your hunt. You can learn more about the Hemlocks by visiting: http://www.hikewnc.info/articles/hwa.html
