There are a lot of other caches in the area so you can bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

This cache was started out with a Nautical/Swimming theme (Hillbilly Beach), but who knows what it might turn into. It is packed full of stuff so please don't forget your trading goods, and remember to log your visit on line.

It is a very enjoyable walk to the "Hillbilly Beach" swimming area (Flatrock) and back. Don't forget to check out the old foundation on your way. The cache is located fairly close to "Flatrock" which has been a very popular swimming/sliding area for a long time. It is a great way to cool off on those very hot summer days. The water stays COLD all year around, even in the hottest weather. There are many places to slide through the water and at the bottom of the longest slide there is a bit of a swimming hole. Take some swimming clothes with you and after you get the cache go check it out the "Beach" and cool off.

The best way to get to the cache is to pass the bridge, leaving it on your left, then follow your GPS from there. Please use stealth because people go into the cache area to change clothes and use the trail as an alternative route to and from the swimming hole. The cache is located in a very usual type of hiding place and should be easy to find. Please remember to re-hide well. I did have some signal jumping because of the heavy cover, so feel free to post your coords in your log.

Have fun, enjoy the walk, enjoy the "beach", and enjoy the scenery.

By the way, try to practice CITO if you can.

It was just to nice of a day not to stop and get this one while I was in the area! That place holds many memories
of skipping school and splashing the day away. The "beach" was crowded today, with muggles in lawn chairs and families with picinic baskets!! Luckily the goods are stashed out of the way and I snuck past them all. I still ran into half a dozen dog muggles on my way out!! Very busy on this beautiiful day in the park. TFTC
