Groundspeak has invited geocachers to produce and submit creative, short films about geocaching at their annual Block Party for the past few years. Unfortunately, this year's Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) was canceled due to rain. Our event is a very rare opportunity to view all films of the 16 finalists from this year's GIFF. Aren't we lucky?
About this event:
- What? Geocaching International Film Festival
- When? Thursday November 5, 2015 10:00 AM - Noon. The movies will start promptly at 10:30 AM, and last about an hour. Geocachers can stick around till Noon.
- Where? Laurel Manor Recreation Center (Grant Room), The Villages
- Who? Anybody -- really! It makes no difference if you geocache or not - you are most welcome to join us in the fun. However, those under 18 years of age need to have one of their adults to keep track of them.
- Why? Well, why not?
- Fee: We are charging a $5 fee to cover room rental, popcorn and refreshments.
We'll meet at the posted coordinates from 10:00AM-10:30AM. Please be on-time, so we can start the film promptly.
