COME VISIT AND TAKE A LOOK AT THE NEW CAHCHE MANSION A COUPLE "BLOCKS" AWAY!The terrain is pretty rough. wether coming in from the road or walking down from Lewis and Clark.
This is a site i stumbled across while doing some off-trail hiking. i don't know what it is from, but i do intend on finding out. this is definitely one of the most beautiful backdrops i have seen in council bluffs. i would highly recommend walking down hill from the L&C Monument, the brush, especially in the summer will be extremely thick if trying to approach from the gravel road. i gave the hide a 3 because it kinda blends (nothing compared to Different).-----UPDATE---- me and a very nice lady at the Council Bluffs Library got to talking and decided that the ruins may be of and old dance hall/ restauraunt that was called Rainbow Gardens. By my research so far, this seemed like a pretty troublesome place durring the prohibition. the last news article i could find about Rainbow Gardens was talking about a bowling tournament they were in, then they are off the map again.-------------LAST UPDATE...I PROMISE---------- it was confermed, this is the known site of the Rainbow Gardens Dance Hall. when it went out of business it was left to fall apart. now if you drve by, you would never know it was there.
