Geocache Description:

[ENG] In 1925 decided Viljandi Town Council to build first bridge to unite Kirsimägi and Lossi street. The project was made by future famous architect Johannes Fuks, who was studying at the time in Danzig University. It was named after the mayor of the city at the time of construction, Dr. Jaan Vares.

One reason for the hiding of this cache was also Estonian Traditional Music Center. The renovation of the old storehouse where Estonian Traditional Music Center is located was finished in March 2008.

[EST] Kirjeldus:
"1925. aastal otsustas Viljandi Linnavolikogu ehitada esimese Kirsimäe ja Lossi tänava ühendamiseks silla. Projekti koostas tol ajal Danzigi ülikoolis õppiv tulevane kuulus arhitekt Johannes Fuks. Silda ehitati 1925. aasta 31. augustist kuni sama aasta 9. novembrini, mil komisjon selle vastu võttis. Sillale korraldati nimepanemise konkurss, ja kuigi poolehoiu võitis Lossi sild, hakati seda tollase linnapea Jaan Varese tõttu Varese sillaks kutsuma."
Üks põhjus miks ma aarde sinna peitsin on Pärimusmuusika Ait mis valmis 2008. aasta märtsis.
