Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed for the CARL3 event. This cache was released to the public on Thursday June 9th. The cache should not be located prior to 6 p.m. Friday June 10. The caches for the CARL3 event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes prior to the event start.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Journey where no man has gone before - from the Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant.

Based on the famous TV show and the movie of Star Trek. For all you fans or not, this cache is for you!

To get the coordinates you must match the correct Alien up to the data that is given about them.

Coordinates are:
N 49°38.ABC
W 112°51.DEF

The DATA on each Alien is:

A. An intelligent, bipedal reptilian species who fought with Captain Kirk on stardate

3045.6 under the assumption that the Federation was threatening the Gorn claim to the

planet Cestus III.

B. In 2368, some in the collective assumed the concept too quickly and became

disconnected without leadership.

C. They have a culture which is based entirely upon commerce. They follow a code of

conduct known as "The _______ Rules of Acquisition." These rules ordain conduct such as

"Never place family before business." Reportedly these rules are subject to

interpretation depending upon the situation. Plea bargaining is a legal tradition, as is

the purchasing of an apprenticeship following the Attainment Ceremony. There is no

distinction between business and pleasure in their culture.

D. Q'onoS (Kronos, the homeworld).

The well-statured warrior race has a genetic predisposition to hostility and a well-known

streak of fatalism.

E. Planet: Malcus IX. A people whose use of a written language predated the spoken word.

They are the major known exception to the rule that most cultures develop a sign or

gestural language before a verbal one.

F. A humanoid race with copper-based blood, slightly green-tinted complexion and notably

pointed ears, they are responsible in a large part for the founding of the Federation.

Over the centuries,having developed a culture dedicated to the complete mastery of logic,

learning to suppress their once-violent emotions in nearly every aspect of their

existence.
