This is one of a series of caches that commemorate the fifteen Division 1-A football national championships* won by The University of Alabama Crimson Tide. Each cache represents one of the NC wins and includes a brief story about the team. Links to the other hides in this series can be found in the bookmark listing to the right.

*There is a lot of debate among fans, foes, and interested observers on the real number. The actual number lies between 10 and 20. See (visit link) if you are a glutton for punishment...At any rate, 15 is what is claimed by the University, so 15 caches. Deal with it.

This cache commemorates the 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide team. Coach Saban led this squad to their second consecutive undefeated regular season, posting another 12-0 regular season record. The squad faced the Tim Tebow led Florida Gators in the SEC championship game, dismantling the defending national champions 32-13. The Tide then faced the Texas Longhorns in the BCS National Chamionship game, played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
