Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bond Chapel on Quaker Neck in historic Kent County Maryland. The cache is one in a series of caches on Quaker Neck that will allow you to explore the area and take in some of its history.

One of several small Greek Revival Churches constructed by the Methodist congregation of Kent County, Bond Chapel, located on Quaker neck road is a one story brick structure with a shallow gable roof. Its main entry, in the northwest is sheltered by a low gabled roof frame. A later one story frame addition makes the building an ell in plan.

Elements of its Greek Revival styling are its shallow gable roof with heavy cornice and return and its strong brick pilasters.

This structure resembles Mowbray Chapel further southwest on Quaker Neck Road (GCGC39BDQ (visit link) )

PLEASE be respectful of the area as this church is used on Sunday mornings for traditional Sunday services.

The cache container is a small otterbox. BYOP
