Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in honour of bluenoserstoo and was part of the "Fare Thee Well BN2" Event (GC16EWH).

This cache to recognize those who leave a mark on our lives. They come into our lives and have a significant impact, and then often have to move on. But the mark always remains...

This cache contains three stamps--a dog, a hockey jersey and music notes--all representing things that are enjoyed by our family. If you carry a personal log book, you can stamp it with any or all of the stamps in this cache. Or use one to add to your signature in the cache log book. These stamps are not trade items, so please do not take them from the cache. If you have a personal stamp, be sure to use it in the cache logbook. And if you don't have a personal stamp, there are some coloured pencils in the stamp box, in case you are feeling creative and want to leave a special mark!

Inspired by the cache "Golden Retriever" (GCND9R) by The Callaway Cadets, this cache has a unique setup, requiring you to find one of 4 travel bugs in order to access the cache. It is placed in memory of my faithful caching partner, my geoDog, Riley. As I wanted to place my own cache in his memory, I thought this would be perfect way to do it.

This cache is also to bid farewell to good friends, who too have left their mark on the geocaching community in Kingston. All the best to bluenoserstoo!

The cache IS located at the posted co-ordinates. However, the container is a locked ammo box that has four keys to open it. The keys to open the cache are travel bugs, and they could be anywhere! To log this cache, you have to figure out how to get one of the keys and then follow the steps below:
  1. Pick up the travel bug and log that you have retrieved it from the cache you found it in by entering the tracking number online. This will place the travel bug into your 'inventory.'
  2. Use the key to open the cache, make your trades and sign the log. Do not lock the key in the cache! Instead, take it with you to put into another cache.
  3. When you log your find online, drop the travel bug into this cache, but immediately retrieve it by entering the number again on the trackables page. This shows the use of the travel bug at the cache.
  4. Place the travel bug into another geocache and log that you have dropped the travel bug into that cache, as you would normally.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.

And remember, leave your mark in the logbook, and not on the environment!
