The Clydesdale Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

David Bourke: Unfortunately the cache suffered the effects of a recent forest fire which melted some of the box but thankfully the contents remained intact.
The surrounding area is totally charred and is no longer suitable for a hide just now. I am archiving the cache to make way for another cache close by.
Thanks to all who visited and enjoyed the experience.

Geocache Description:

Located at Clydagh Bridge, 4kms from Castlebar on the R310 Castlebar Pontoon road.

The cache is a tablock lunch box. It contains log book, pen, pencil and sharpener. There is a nice soft spong smiley ball, golf ball,small Barney Rubble figure renown from the flintstones (from my son), plus a number of other small items.

***Please Note*****
The above coordinates are not for the cache locacation.
You will need to solve the following puzzle to obtain these. When you arrive at Clydagh Bridge, park in the picnic area opposite. Then look around and observe the year inscribed on the wall close by.
Using the following code where A = 1st digit of the year,
B = 2nd, C = 3rd, D = 4th.
The cache coordinates are then:
N 53*C3.3(B-C)(B-C)
W00B*AC.(A+C)3(D-C)

Having worked out the puzzle input these into your GPS and away you go.
While the walk runs parrallel to the road it takes you by the riverside to a waterfall where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful peace and tranquility and marvellous birdsong.
There are many different tree species to look out for such as Sitka Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Beech, Ash and Mountain Ash.
