Mega CITO at the Lade Cache In Trash Out Event

This cache has been archived.

Haggis Hunter: Thank you again to everyone who attended and done something to assist with the clean up or with the running of the event. It's now time for this to be put to bed, I think a month is ample time for people to get back home and post their logs.

If a local cacher wishes to take this up as a yearly event drop me an email and I will pass on your details to the ranger service.

Cheers
Haggis Hunter

Geocache Description:

Perth & Kinross Council Ranger Service

Mega CITO at the Lade

You are invited to come along and join other Geocachers and the Perth & Kinross Council Ranger Service to help clean up around the area of the Lade in Perth.

Date and Time

The event will take place on Sunday 1st August at 10am to about 12 noon

Meeting point

The meeting point will be at the above co-ordinates on Fairfield Avenue, just off Tulloch Road. There is plenty of on street parking, with a kids play park close by for the young ones to have a play about on.

Socialising

Having liaised with mollyjak, if you wish to socialise afterwards why not come along to Meet the Welsh Dragons!!! event, which starts approximately 1hour 30 minutes after this event ends.
It should be noted that the two events are not linked together and to claim a smilie for the CITO event you must turn up at the CITO and participate.

Disabled Access

Most of the area that we will be working on will be wheelchair accessible.

Equipment

Please wear clothes that are suitable for the activity which you are going to be doing. Wearing wellington boots is optional, but there should be no need for them. Please bring warm clothes & waterproofs in case of inclement weather. This is Scotland after all!!

Gloves, bags and litter picks will be provided, but if you have your own gloves please bring them along.

Restrictions

It is felt that due to H&S and insurance purposes that no one is to enter the water or cross the water to get to the other bank. This includes areas which are shallow. This means that on some areas of the clean up we will not be able to do anything with. But please keep an open mind as what help we do give will make a difference to the local area.
The Ranger Service will also carry out a check before the event of possible nesting birds and they will try to cordon off these areas as much as possible. The cordons will be explained on the day and you are asked to stay clear of them.

Note: Please keep an eye on the listing as any changes that are made will be posted.
