Geocache Description:

*** THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE LISTED COORDS ***

Welcome to “Trails Across Delmarva” (TAD)

This group of caches is made up of two sections of trail in the TAD series with the caches being located along multiple roads

Trail 2  (“TAD #31 W” through TAD # 54 W”) runs between Seaford and the DSWA landfill

Trail 3  (“TAD #55 W” through “TAD #78 W”) runs between Laurel and Georgetown and this road can be busy during weekday rush hours but traffic is generally not bad the rest of the time.

We’ve all stared at the map on Geocaching.com looking for treasures to find …. Well all good treasure maps need a giant “X” to mark the spot of the treasure so these two sections of trail form the “X marks the spot” Geo-Art on this treasure map that we have all grown to know and love….

Of course, no good group of puzzle caches in this area would be complete without a good ol’ puzzle cache from hostanut to top it off… if you’d like to complete the GeoArt and have your “X” filled with all smiley faces… you will need to go to the center of the “X” and get the smiley face on “A TAD Off-Center” (GC2P8A7)

I’ve added one star to the difficulty level of the cache for the “puzzle” aspect and the rest of the difficulty rating on the cache is based on the hide itself..

This cache is located at:

For the best results with the TAD series, please read the entire list below.

1)      This list will be exactly the same for every cache in the “TAD” series.

2)      Most of the caches in the series are located near a road and may not be suitable for younger kids.

3)      Caches are NOT necessarily numbered in the best order to find them.

4)      Caches are numbered by direction… either East to West OR North to South on each section of trail

5)      Each cache title will have a letter at the end to indicate the general direction of travel on the side of the road where the cache is located. (You may find it easier and safer to only collect the caches on one side of the road at a time)

6)      Most of the caches are quick C&D’s although there are multiple types of containers and hides with some harder caches mixed in…. including some hides that will require a Geotool to extract the cache container. (the difficulty/terrain ratings and attributes for each cache are adjusted accordingly)

7)      PLEASE conserve log space on the micro caches by only writing your initials on the logs and using a “team” name whenever possible….THANKS

Happy Hunting
