Lucky
Strike
For 4X4
enthusiasts!!
The
location for this cache hunt is at the De Wildt 4X4 Game
Park. It is recommended that you do the course which should
take no longer than 2-3 hours. There are another two caches
in the reserve, one of which is also on the course, so it will be
well worth the effort. The fee to do the course is R140 per
vehicle (includes 2 people) plus R30 each for additional
people. It is also possible to cycle (mountain-bikes of
course) in which case the cost is R40 per bicycle. One can
opt to hike, but unfortunately I’m uncertain of the cost there, if
any (a day visit costs R30 per person). The reserve claims
that you will see more game in one hour than in a week in Kruger
(that wasn’t our experience but we may have been unlucky, like we
are at Kruger). Accommodation is also provided. For
further information go to www.dewildt4x4.co.za
.
The above co-ordinates
will NOT take you to the cache. To find the exact
location you will need to solve the following from WPT1.
Using the Afrikaans word
provided, make up two English words formed by using all the
letters. Each letter may only be used once.
* The first word’s
definition is “that which grows from little acorns” Use only
the first word.
* The second word’s
definition is “was in a state of conflict and uncertainty between
two opposing options”
Once you have the two
words apply the following to arrive at the final waypoints for this
cache hunt. It may be possible to solve these two words
without doing WPT1. If this is the case, you can simply
confirm this when you arrive at WPT1 and continue on your
way.
Assume that a=1, b=2, c=3,
etc. and that word one is 1 and word two is 2.
Calculate: S2y

y
= ([2.2]-10)
ab
= ([2.1]*2)
cde
= ([1.3]*[2.3]*5)-([1.1]+[2.2])
Z

AB

CDE

Enjoy the hunt!
