Montace je nazev
pro mestsky les, ktery se nachazi v prostoru mezi mestskym
pivovarem v Nachode, znamym take oznacenim Primator a nyni uz
mestskou casti Beloves. Montace je take jmeno jednoho ze srubu (N-S
85) pevnostniho opevneni, jehoz hlavnim ukolem bylo
ostrelovani nachodskeho nadrazi. Stoji na levem brehu Metuje proti
proudu nedaleko od pivovaru. V soucasne dobe mu ve vystrelu brani
postavene sidliste a je v nem sklad.
V Belovsi, pod vrchem zvanym Lasy, se nachazela leciva
studanka, znama jiz od tricetilete valky. Pozdeji byl tento pramen
pojmenovan IDA, podle princezny Idy Schamburg Lippe, ktera se jim
udajne uzdravila. Vlastni lazne byly zalozeny na louce zvane
„sperlingovska“ v letech 1818-1819 magistratnim radou Janem
Schmidtem z Bergenholdu a nachodskym hostinskym Machackem.
Hlavni z nekolika pramenu se nazyval Jakubsky a dlouho se
v Belovsi slavily Jakubske poute. Lazne vystridaly nekolik
majitelu. Velmi oblibenymi byly zejmena za Jakuba Bonata, malire
pochazejiciho z Italie. Konavaly se zde tehdy caste koncerty
posadkovych hudeb z Josefova nebo z Hradce Kralove.
Dalsim vyznamnym majitelem – odbornikem , byl univerzitni profesor
MUDr. Ivan Honl, ktery lazne velmi zmodernizoval a pozvedl.
Vykoupil v roce 1907 konkurencni Male lazne, zalozene
v roce 1873 na druhem brehu Metuje. Z rady znamych jmen,
ktere zde travily nejakou dobu vzpomenme jmena spisovatele Karla
Jarose, ktery zde travil rekordnich 40 sezon a basnika Konstantina
Biebla, ktery se zde skryval za 2. svetove valky pred
gestapem.
Jeden z pramenu IDY je stale verejne dostupny. Najdete jej na
souradnicich N 50°25.169 E 16°11.395.
Ale Beloves a Montace nebyly a nejsou zdaleka jen lazne. Jak jiz
bylo uvedeno v souvislosti s Montaci, v roce 1937 se
zde stavelo pevnostni opevneni, jehoz system betonovych bunkru
ruznych velikosti mel slouzit jako ochrana statnich hranic
republiky. Bohuzel prave tudy 15.3.1939 vtrhla cast nemecke armady
do Cech. Pozustatky opevneni jsou jen dukazem umu a dukladne prace
nasich dedu a otcu. Timto pevnostnim systemem prochazi i naucna
stezka, kterou i my pri svem putovani zkrizime. Zastavime se
zejmena u dvou srubu: N-82 Brezinka a N-S 81 Lom.

doba Brezinky je kazdou sobotu a o statnich svatcich od 10 do 19
hodin, v cervenci a srpnu kazdy den od 10 do 19 hodin. Cestou
k Brezince minete informacni tabuli 7B, ktera je Brezince
venovana a na ni je krome jineho zobrazen nakres rozmisteni a
poloha prekazek, ktere chranily objekt. K jeho modelu pak
dojdete na STAGE G. V blizkosti Brezinky naleznete i pechotni

This multicache will take you through two nice neighborhoods of
Nachod - Montace and Beloves. Each stage will give you clues
for the final coordinates of the cache, so we recommend to write
them all down.
Montace is the name of
the town’s forest that lies between the Nachod Brewery (also known
by the “Primator” beer brand) and the town district Beloves (“White
Village”). Montace is also the name of one of the bunker (N-S 85
standing on the left bank of Metuje river near the brewery) that is
part of the surrounding fortress system – its main task was
protection of the Nachod train station. Nowadays it could not fire
directly at the station due to the newly built houses and it serves
only as a storage facility.
In Beloves, under the hill called “Lasy”, there used to be a
healing spring known since the times of the Thirty Years' War
(17th century). The spring was later renamed IDA by the
princess Ida Schamburg Lippe who was allegedly healed by the
spring. The famous spa was founded in years 1818-1819 by municipal
counselor Jan Schmidt from Bergenhold and local hotel owner
Machacek. The main spring was called “Jakubsky” (Jacob’s) and
Beloves used to celebrate “Jacob’s wake”. The spa was owned by
several owners. It was very popular especially when held by Jakub
Bonato, a painter born in Italy. Another important owner-expert was
MUDr. Ivan Honl, a university professor, who improved and
modernized the spa. In 1907 he also bought the competing “Small
Spa” founded in 1873 on the other bank of river Metuje. The Beloves
Spa used to have many famous visitors – among them writer Karel
Jaros, who spent 40 seasons there(!) and poet Konstantin Biebl, who
was hiding here from the Gestapo during the WWII.
One of the IDA springs is still accessible for the public. You can
find it at N 50°25.169 E 16°11.395.
But Beloves and Montace were not known only for the spas. During
the year 1937, there was a fortress system of beton bunkers of
different sizes built here. The system was meant to be protection
of the border with Germany. Unfortunately this was also one
of the spots used for invasion by the German army in March 15,
1939. The remains of the fortresses are demonstration of skills and
hard work of our fathers and grandfathers. There is a nature trail
going through the bunker system and we will cross it during our
walk. We will stop by two bunkers - N-82 Brezinka and N-S 81
Lom.
The information used here comes from information boards in
Nachod.
Don’t search for the cache on the given coordinates – this is place
of the of the Nachod Primator Brewery store and a suitable place to
park your geovehicle. It is recommended not only as the point for
quenching your thirst after the walk but also as the starting point
for our cache hunt.
To get the
coordinates of STAGE A, you have to solve this

history and foundation of the “Jirasek cottage” on the Dobrosov
hill.
Find the year and number of mountaineers who founded the first
tourist organization in history. (The sentence is “Prvni
turistickou organizaci zalozilo v roce ABCD v Londyne
EF horolezcu”). The Czech Tourist Club was founded in year
1888.

time of the Dobrosov fortress in April (under Provozni doba and
Duben), that will give you: TU.RR. I also need to add that

and please put the microcache and its surroundings to the original

And guess what – we are going further up to the Brezinka bunker
(N-82 Brezinka, www.brezinka.cz) for the next stage. (We recommend
stopping by – the exhibition is worth it!!!) The opening
hours are every Saturday and during national holidays from 10:00 to
19:00, during July and August every day from 10:00 to 19:00. On
your way you will pass the information board 7B that shows, among
other things, the positions of barriers protecting the bunker.
Their model is close to STAGE G. Near Brezinka you will also
find infantry bunker N-S 81 LOM (“Quarry”) that is also accessible
to public. Both bunkers are managed by volunteers so contributions
are welcome.
