Hard Oiler: The water levels in the St Clair river have been so high this year that the cache has either washed away or is buried under sediment. When hidden the cache was way above the river level - not any more! No point in replacing and as the nearby coal-fired generating station is being dismantled it's time to say goodbye to both.

Geocache Description:

Second in a series of four caches that follow the scenic 34 km St Clair River trail. You can drive, bike, hike or even boat to the caches. They are all small (4"x3"x2") containers. You'll find many small parks with picnic and rest-room facilities as you travel the trail.

Hidden just off the trail. If your GPSr is erratic blame it on all the current that flows in this area.

A pleasant geocaching diversion is do the the Downriver Cruise series on the Canadian side, take the ferry and do the Upriver Cruise series on the Michigan side, returning by the Bluewater Bridge.
