Geocache Description:

The cache IS hidden at the posted coordinates, but.....

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW PRIOR TO LOGGING THIS AS A FIND.

We don't care who you are or where you live, we all would love to keep the quality of caches in our area as high as possible, and sometimes cache owners need a little help in doing so.
So here you go, get up and help the geocaching community by visiting and performing a little cache maintenance on Geocaches in need of company.

Before you can log this cache as a find, you must complete the following tasks:

1. Identify 10 physical caches that meet any of the following criteria:

A. Any physical cache that has not been visited (found, had a maintenance check, TB exchange, etc.) in the past 3 months. These can be caches you have already found or not. They can also be caches that you own.

B. Any physical cache where the previous log or logs indicate the cache needs some sort of maintenance. These can be caches you have already found or not. They can also be caches that you own.

2. You must physically visit each of the 10 caches. If the cache is a multi-stage, you must visit and check conditions of all the stages. Check the condition of the cache container itself. Make sure it is hidden properly, that there is plenty of space remaining in the logbook, that the contents are clean and dry, rescue stranded travel bugs, etc. etc. etc.

Note: Any maintenance or repairs to the cache should be done with permission of the owner. However there are a few long lost owners that do not pay any attention to their caches so this will have to be a personal decision and you must use your best judgment on this issue.(In a perfect world these Geocachers should offer their caches up for adoption or archive them). As cache owners ourselves, we would love to give permission to anyone willing to do maintenance as they see fit as long as it does not degrade the quality, or change the spirit or location of the cache.

3. Log each of the 10 caches. Sign the physical log for the qualifying caches and note on the log that it is a maintenance visit. If this is a DNF cache and you can verify that the container is actually missing, there is no cache log to sign. If this is your first visit to the cache, post your online log for that cache as a find and make reference that your visit was maintenance related. If you have previously visited and logged the cache, post a note, notifying the owner and the community that you visited and verified the cache to be in good working order. You might even give reference to this cache (GC36KY4) in your logs to help promote the health of your caching community.

.

4. All caches used for this challenge must be logged after 1/2/2012. No previous finds will be allowed.

5. When you have found and logged 10 qualifying caches, go find this cache. When you post your find online, list the GC waypoint IDs of the 10 qualifying caches. You do not need confirmation from us before logging, but we will be checking that you met the requirements above.

Thank you for your help in maintaining caches and contributing to the spirit of our geocaching community!
