This is a micro and ammo can multi-cache at the Laurel Veterans'
Memorial Museum. The micro is available anytime, but the ammo can
is only accessible during museum hours.
The
fundraising to build this museum was done by veterans and the
museum is run by veterans that donate their time. There are many
interesting and unique exhibits in the museum and the veterans I
have met there have been very knowledgeable and friendly when
answering questions.
Stage 1 is a micro cache with just a log sheet to sign.
Stage 2 is an ammo can that is kept behind the counter inside the
museum. If the museum is open, ask at the counter for the geocache
ammo can. Museum hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, weekdays only. The
veterans that staff the museum hope to have it open on the weekends
too in the future.
Make sure to check out the exhibits in the museum and ask the
veterans about the items on display. There is a donation box at the
entrance to the exhibit area if you would like to contribute. Also,
please be sure to thank the veterans for allowing a geocache to be
placed here.
Blue skies and happy caching!
