November 18 by Homebru (8585 found) Goldfinch and I stopped by your cache today and searched for quite awhile without coming up with it. We left and did a couple other caches and came back a 2nd time and got the find at 150pm after receiving a PaF call back. Don't know how we missed it the 1st time. TFTC.

[view this log] | November 7 by Nurse Nanna (2746 found) GT.US had mentioned this to me recently in a conversation about local caches. After a full and wonderful day of caching and playing, I happened to be headed this way, so with a quick phone call and a whole lotta luck, the two of us managed to get here just minutes later..at the same time. We took a look at the situation and tried to decide how and where to start our search. We chose a spot and both spent a fair amount of time looking. Nope...not that we can see. So we reconnoitered and began working again with a renewed energy. Nope...still not here...unless we missed it. Thirty minutes later, we've both been down on the ground, peered from our tiptoes from above and at eye level. Nope...still no cache. We made those classic moves of standing up and deciding that maybe this wasn't our day..and we'd even begin walking back towards the vehicles. Then we'd find ourselves walking back over to the search area for another spin on things. Repeating this at least a couple times as we hashed over ideas. Gulp...we know it's here, why can't we find it? Eventually it got so dark that we could not see anything without some artificial light. Grabbing a flashlight from the truck we kept working....with the odds really against us at this point...but too stubborn to quit. I tried phoning for a hint, but didn't get anywhere, then got a call from a friend....and at the same time GT.US is calling for help too... Someone out there must have a hint for us! And yes..finally we got a tiny hint...which, when combined with what we had already done was enough to get us a find! I guess it helped that we were able to narrow down the ONE spot it seemed we had not checked out... We had fun and we had a lot of chance to catch up and have some quiet time between good friends. It was a great search, thankfully ending in a successful find! Thanks for the fun that we had...I would think that Rusty is honored by such a hide...he and LIbby are both amazing and deserving of a good hide. Nurse Nanna....sometimes blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.
[view this log] | November 7 by GT.US (4494 found) I met up with Nurse Nanna to get this one off my list. I tried for the FTF and failed, and have been back 3-4 times since with no luck. We searched and searched for a half hour with no luck. When the sun started getting so low that it was flashlight time, NN started on her phone a friend list. No luck there, so I started on my Phone a Friend list and hit pay dirt. At the same time NN scored on her phone a friend list. After confirmation that we had the right idea, we were narrow the search down to the one square inch that we hadn't looked. finally success...Thanks for the cache!
[view this log] | November 6 by victorymike (2968 found) Micros can be fun for many people but they seem to always take me from 'fun' to 'annoyed' in less than 5 minutes, lol. I gave it around 7 minutes, sat down on the nearby bench, then gave it another couple of minutes before calling it quits and heading back into Bandemer Park for some other caches. I have to admit that I really enjoyed the murals and good 'ole Rusty. I am guessing that this is probably a great location for a magnetic cache. I'll probably be back with the rest of the family for another try. victorymike Mike Landis Garmin Colorado 400t Ann Arbor, MI
